Now in its fourth generation, our company has a recipe for success, namely quality, enjoyment and responsibility. Accordingly, we systematically place store by high product quality and careful processing - much of which is still done by hand. This truly makes us the “prime Hanseatic producers of fine fish”. Our foremost aim is to offer gourmets culinary delights time and time again with innovative quality products.
 

By pursuing this philosophy, this mid-size family-owned company based in Hamburg has evolved into the market leader in Germany for high-quality fine fish. FRIEDRICHS is the specialist in fish delicacies. The range encompasses smoked fish such as eel, trout and salmon, caviar, herring and matjes products and other specialties.

In addition, Gottfried Friedrichs is particularly committed to furthering sustainable fishing and protecting the environment. In 2002, we were the first company in Germany to offer MSC-certified smoked wild salmon from guaranteed sustainable fishing in Alaska. Today, MSC-certified products account for a substantial proportion of our range.
