Enjoying a fine taste and doing something good – this is no contradiction with FRIEDRICHS Kamchatka Wild Salmon, which is not only a true culinary delight but is also making a contribution to sustainable fishing in Kamchatka. Located in Russia, the Kamchatka peninsula is home to one of the world’s largest reserves of wild salmon. To encourage the establishment of MSC-certified fishing in Kamchatka, the WWF and Gottfried Friedrichs initiated a pioneer project at the beginning of 2008, launching on the German market the first smoked wild salmon from Kamchatka to be caught in monitored fishing.
FRIEDRICHS Kamchatka Wild Salmon is synonymous with an exquisite taste from untouched natural surroundings. The raw fish is smoked using traditional means and trimmed by hand, thus allowing it to unleash its typical and slightly tangy flavour. In addition, Kamchatka wild salmon is characterised by a strong muscular texture with a fat content of only 2.3 percent.
